Larson was commissioned by the State of Alaska to create this portrait of Ted Stevens. It was presented in 2012 at the Alaska State Museum before moving to its current position among the portraits of “Bob” Bartlett and Ernest Greuning in the Capitol.
A prolific artist, painting across genres from portraiture to still life to city and landscapes, Larson has travelled around the world painting and teaching. His work portrays the activity of Roman piazzas as well as New York City night scenes; family group portraits and important public figures; classical still life and intimate interiors.
